24 books carry you to far-away places like India, China, Japan, Australia and Northern Africa and the Middle East on a quest to understand their religions, cultures and ways of life. Your children are challenged and inspired by men and women who gave up everything to carry the gospel to the other side of the world.
Read-Alouds
Encounter dolphins, wolves, a talking horse, and a magnificent treasure as you read 15 Read-Alouds to your children. Classics like The Hobbit and The Horse and His Boy are sure to please listeners of all ages.
Reading & Language Arts
Your children stretch their imaginations by creating their own stories and characters, traveling to far corners of the world with 25 Readers.
Science
In Science 5 your children use 11 books and other resources to study anatomy, physiology, medicine and nutrition. And of course you can expect a host of exciting experiments along the way. The boy's and girl's versions of this program are identical except for a gender-appropriate book about the human body. See page 110 in the catalog for details.
Math
In Math 5 your students write simple ratios, add and subtract fractions with uncommon denominators, use a compass and protractor, calculate probability with one variable, understand percentages, recognize place value to a hundred billion all using colorful, student and teacher-friendly lessons.
Bible
Learn about God's plan for His people in Remembering God's Awesome Acts. Also, read the Bible daily and memorize 52 key verses of scripture.
Art & Music Electives
Three exciting and useful electives round out your children's studies this year including: critical thinking, typing and the study of classical music.
